Love Me

By: Marialys Gonzalez

I miss the way I used to read

Read your eyes as you looked at me

The light that would shine

Reflecting your love for me

For me, all me, how could that be

I was a mess, no more words It didn’t make sense

But still, you stayed

To see, to feel, how the rhythm swayed

How did it read

The pain after I left , after you left

Thick tears on the pages

That soaked, blurring the words

Our story

To be lost, to never be read again
