I want to tell her,

Tell her what I see—

Feel!

But what if I tell her?

Would she smile and shake her head,

And reply with her eyes—big and brown, that says “bullshit!”

—what I say is a lie,

Or would she accept me?

Accept the unknown and the colors around me,

Accept the blues, greens, reds...

I don’t like to read—

Not without your permission,

So please don’t crumple my truth to origami—

One that only fits for you
